Policies

White Rock North School is committed to enrolling students who will most benefit our program. The decision to offer a student admission is made on the basis of a student’s application file, independent of his financial circumstances. The School actively recruits students of all racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds.

The School holds that parents have an obligation to pay for the educational expenses of their children. Within the limits of the School’s financial aid resources, however, we seek to assist those families who are not able to meet the financial costs of their child’s education at White Rock North School.

Families are awarded financial aid on the basis of demonstrated financial need. We do not offer merit scholarships.

White Rock North School has partnered with FACTS, a third-party service, to help analyze a family’s need for aid. This service provides schools with information and guidelines for making financial aid awards fairly and equitably. The family completes a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) online which asks for information on income, expenses, assets, and liabilities. FACTS then estimates the family contribution. The School uses that estimate, in combination with completed tax documents and a monthly income and expense report, to determine need.

Financial aid awards are for the 10-month academic year only, and families must reapply for financial aid every year and demonstrate continuing financial need. All financial information submitted is kept in the strictest confidence.

Application Fee: FACTS charges a processing fee of $55 for their online application. FACTS will automatically waive the fee if a family meets certain criteria when they submit an application.

Decisions

Families will be notified before the start of each semester regarding financial aid decisions. Award determinations will be delayed for any family with a delinquent school balance as of May 1st.

Given limited financial aid resources, the School may not be able to meet all demonstrated need for financial aid.
