Born and raised in El Paso, TX, I’ve been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories involve drawing and creating art, often inspired by my mother who would give me paper and pen to keep me occupied during church services. This early encouragement sparked a lifelong love for creativity.
Throughout my school years, I was drawn to art classes and immersed myself in various artistic endeavors. My dedication led me to participate in the Visual Arts Scholastic Event, a regional and state competition, where I earned medals and even received my Letterman Jacket in high school.
Although I initially pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, my heart remained set on becoming an art teacher. Life’s journey has its ups and downs, but I consider it a great blessing to have come full circle and now serve as the Art Teacher at White Rock North School.
I am deeply passionate about helping students explore different artistic mediums and witnessing their creativity flourish. Seeing the joy and pride in their eyes as they create beautiful pieces of art is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. I’m excited to continue nurturing their artistic talents and guiding them on their creative journeys!
