Dance is a rewarding experience on many different levels. It is a great form of exercise and a tremendous confidence builder. Dance develops muscle strength, flexibility, increased coordination and is a great form of overall fitness. It also allows for creativity and expression. Each student will grow both emotionally as well as in his or her dance technique.

Native Dallasite Karissa Tunnell discovered her love of dance at 3 years of age. She continued her dance studies completing hundreds of hours of class work, as a member of a competitive dance team, holding the title of 1st Lieutenant for her high school drill team, and performing in musical productions and solo competitions. She then attended Sam Houston State University, majoring in dance. Some of her accolades include a performance at the White House and SeaWorld, choreography for the Frisco Ballet and being awarded the top rank of All American Dancer. She brings to the White Rock North School over 10 years dance teaching experience from some of the most prestigious dance schools around the Metroplex.
